Communications Specialist | Content Producer | Content Manager

Content Marketing Manager | Copy Editor | Senior Editor | Columnist

Communications Specialist

Beginning in June 2021 until June 2025, I worked as a Communications Specialist for the growing transportation company, Beacon Mobility, as part of a small communications department. The full-time position featured a range of responsibilities, including jumping in to immediately help with the rollout of an employee app, Go Beacon!, as well as regularly composing, editing and posting content for the app. In addition, it required regular writing and photography, including the monthly layout and design of a 10-page company newsletter, along with a significant amount of video editing, production and script writing, composing such content for the app and various Beacon Mobility-owned websites.

Content Producer

Starting again in July 2025, I had previously contributed articles between May 2020 and October 2021 as a Content Producer for Church Facilities Expo/Worship Facility, successfully boosting the audience for their Church Facilities Conference & Expo. To read any of my articles, view some of examples on my Content Producer page.

In addition, from December 2020 until June 2021, I wrote monthly pieces for the rAVe Agency, based in North Carolina, for its section on their site focused on technology for houses of worship. To review any of those articles, you can either visit the rAVe Pubs website, or take a look at my Content Producer page.

Prior to the two contract roles listed above, I also served as a Content Producer/Site Editor for four years, managing the online publication Worship Tech Director. The site was last operated by Informa, located in Westborough, Massachusetts, through December 2019. From November 2015 to December 2017, the site was owned by EH Media in Framingham, Massachusetts. During that time, I was responsible for writing, editing, managing freelancers and posting daily site content. The site’s content focused on audio, video and lighting technology tips and ideas for houses of worship across the country. Shortly after rebranding the site in January 2016, site traffic grew by over 130 percent over the next two years. Over that same span, the site saw an increase in return visitors to the site by over 75 percent. Over the rebranded site’s four years, the number of Facebook followers to the site grew from fewer than 1,800 to nearly 13,000.

Content Manager

From October 2020 until April 2024, I regularly wrote content for the monthly online publication, focused on technology for houses of worship, Technologies for Worship Magazine. In addition to writing features for the magazine, I was tasked with helping with social media planning and regularly posted items for over two years. To read any of my articles from the magazine, visit the site, or check out the Content Manager page for some of my top pieces.

Content Marketing Manager

Between January 2020 and May 2020, I stepped into a contract role for 1 Beyond, Inc., located in Charlestown, Massachusetts, as the Content Marketing Manager. My primary responsibilities involved creating social media posts, scheduling editorial contributions for industry-specific publications and coordinating content for upcoming in-person conferences. I also updated and edited the company’s WordPress site, and handled the design, writing and editing of Constant Contact emails.

Copy Editor

With my extensive page design skills, particularly with Adobe InDesign, I served as a copy editor for six months for the New Hampshire Union Leader in Manchester, New Hampshire. In that position, I designed newspaper section pages, completing four to six pages for the next day’s edition. I also often served frequently as web editor, updating the newspaper’s website, editing and loading articles, HTML and photos.

During the 2014-15 NFL season, I also worked as a copy editor for the New England Patiots, specifically for their weekly print publication, Patriots Football Weekly. Beginning in the preseason, through the regular season and including the playoffs (with the Patriots winning Super Bowl XLIX), I worked to edit and proofread copy, along with crafting photo captions and editing headlines for each weekly issue.

Senior News Editor/Newspapers In Education Director and Columnist

For over 10 years, I fulfilled various roles for The Gardner News, in Gardner, Massachusetts, a six-day daily newspaper. Beginning as a News Staff Writer, I transitioned to become Night Editor three months later. I began working on the desk during the day six months after that, as the Assistant Editor/Newspapers In Education Coordinator. I served as the paper’s assistant editor for four years. In 2009, I was promoted to be the Senior News Editor/Newspapers In Education Director for an additional five-plus years. Working with two editors, I managed a full-time staff of up to six reporters, sharing layout duties, writing up to two weekly columns, as well as composing periodic editorials and entertainment features.
